We're on the hunt for a Head Chef for our independent neighbourhood Pub - The Bull in Wanstead.
We're looking for The Bull’s new Head Chef to join our fantastic team at our independent neighbourhood pub and lead in the delivery of our fresh, seasonal, delicious food offering.

About The Bull in Wanstead
The Bull in Wanstead, is a beautiful, listed building and a former bank. The Bull has a rich history and has been a huge part of the local community.
A pub full of character, it boasts a first floor private room alongside an epic garden that's currently undergoing significant investment and relaunches at the end of May with a new, bold, fun outdoor food concept.
The Bull is located on Wanstead High Street, 100 yards from Wanstead Tube Station, so also offers a great commute and it prides itself on being a real community pub.
The Bull is part of Livelyhood pub group, an established London based owner, creator, and operator of inviting and independent neighbourhood pubs.

You’ll find us in Crystal Palace (The Faber Fox), Balham (The Regent), Wimbledon (The Old Frizzle), Wanstead (The Bull), Clapham South (The Perky Nel), Bromley South (The Artful Duke) & Elephant and Castle (The Rosy Hue).
In addition to The Bull garden investment, we' re also investing in other sites and developing a new Livelyhood brand, so this is a brilliant chance for the right people to join us and be a key part of our growth.

Who are you?
If you're already liking the sound of us, you're already our kind of person. Throw in your passion for consistent, flavoursome, fresh food, clear communication skills, good organisational skills, high kitchen standards, strong work ethic and your in-depth knowledge of H & S and HACCP and you'll have us at hello!
Previous Experience in a Head Chef position preferred but if you have fresh food experience in a £10k+ food sales venue and you're ready to make the step up into the Head Chef role, we certainly want to hear from you.
Our Head Chef will lead in the delivery of Livelyhood’s fresh food offering that has our five Lively Ways (values) of Authentic, Daring, People, Lively and Sustainable at its very heart.
About Our Head Chef Role
Our ideal Head Chef will:
· Enjoy leading & developing their back of house team
· Have previous Head Chef/Senior Sous Chef experience in a busy kitchen
· Manage daily food ordering, production, and service, maintaining high standards.
· Cook great, tasty food so that people keep coming back for more.
· Comply with our food standards and guidelines.
· Comply with Health & Safety policies & procedures
· Manage supplier ordering and maintain correct stock levels
· Thrive on the chance to show their creativity, creating specials & inputting into our fresh, seasonal menus
-Love working in independent businesses. We get stuff done quickly and celebrate our people
What we are offering
A competitive salary £42k - £45k based on your experience
Additional tronc payments – currently tracking in region of £3k per year making OTE £45k- 48k
Additional Head Chef bonus plan - £1.5k per quarter based on KPI performance
