We're searching for a lively and authentic Assistant Manager to join our independent pub company.
Livelyhood is a successful, independent London pub operator and our pubs are places where meaningful connections are made and every guest leaves with a smile and a reason to return.
About the Role
As Assistant Manager, you’ll be integral to shaping unforgettable guest experiences while supporting the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the pub.
This is a management role where you’ll drive sales, coach and inspire your team and bring energy and ideas to a space where food, drink and cracking hospitality come together.
Who are You?
- An individual with relevant supervisory or management experience who loves a great pub and who's keen to embrace & grow our independent Livelyhood story.
- Someone who loves creating top notch guest experiences and who thrives on putting a smile on the teams' and guest’s faces.
- You are passionate about developing people, coaching them, seeing their progression.
- You enjoy proactively supporting the General Manager to drive sales, exceed targets and bring the fun.
- Previous experience working with food and/or gardens/outdoor spaces would be advantageous.
- You’ve successfully built relevant experience in a busy pub, bar or restaurant (with a weekly turnover of £15k+).
A Livelyhood Assistant Manager truly partners with their General Manager & other Managers, working alongside the broader team to drive and grow the business, create memorable guest experiences and deliver the very best of hospitality to the local community.

- A competitive salary between £30,420- £33,420 based on your experience.
- Additional tronc/service payments which are currently averaging a further £5k a year & an Assistant Manager bonus plan - £700 bonus pot a quarter

You’ll find us in Crystal Palace (The Faber Fox), Balham (The Regent), Wimbledon (The Old Frizzle), Wanstead (The Bull), Clapham South (The Perky Nel), Bromley South (The Artful Duke) & Elephant and Castle (The Rosy Hue).
We are also planning to open more sites in London, so this is a brilliant chance for the right people to join us and be a key part of our next chapter.
